Job summary

Meta is looking for a Preconstruction Manager, Leased to join our design, engineering, and construction organization. You will negotiate leases and manage leased data center projects from design kickoff through site break-ground and contract execution.

The role requires procurement, budgeting, scheduling, constructability, and negotiation experience for large-scale, mission-critical data center programs, working closely with DEC leadership and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent and 10+ years of direct professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to align on project scope, schedule, and deliverables through structured communication
• Experience with large capital projects, leased data center development, ground-up construction, and greenfield site development as well as retrofit construction
• Experience in all aspects of preconstruction: budget development, scheduling, change management, risk management, negotiation, and contract administration
• Experience in construction schedules, costs, supply chain analysis, risk analysis, labor markets, project cash flows, and commercial contract terms and contract delivery methods

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and influence lease terms with data center developers
• Lead multi-team alignment from design kick-off to construction start
• Coordinate programmatic cost, schedule, and risk across projects
• Report project status, risks, budgets, and KPI to leadership
• Provide bid levelling and supplier recommendations
• Interface with Engineering to develop scope, budgets, and schedules
• Support procurement strategy and vendor selection for new programs
• Develop new processes and tooling to support initiatives
• Provide constructability input to total cost of ownership analyses
• Maintain external partner database and prequalification processes
• Evaluate change management implications within delivery organization
• Collaborate with Contracts Management to ensure proper terms are used
• Influence stakeholders to de-risk project delivery and optimize labor/productivity
• Coordinate daily with cross-functional partners and prioritize requests
