Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is looking for a Pre-Construction Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to oversee preconstruction activities across multiple project types. This role involves managing proposals, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring project execution is on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction management and excellent communication skills, as well as a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000.00 to $220,000.00 yearly along with an extensive benefits package, including participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and a 401(k) retirement program.

Qualifications

• 7 years direct program/project management experience required.
• Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage proposal development and day-to-day pre-construction activities.
• Lead preparation of proposals for new business.
• Coordinate with project team members and subcontractors.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams.

Skills

Strong understanding of all construction disciplines

Excellent communications skills

Supervisory skills of field construction personnel

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field
