Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Transmission & Distribution practice in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Project Manager to lead substation, transmission and pipeline projects. The role emphasizes business development and client growth alongside project execution.

You will manage all aspects from concept to completion, report to the T&D Projects Manager, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining stakeholder relations; travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited curriculum.
• 7+ years of utility project experience with at least 3 years PM experience.
• PE registration and PMP certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel ability; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Manage projects from concept to completion including controls and closeout.
• Develop schedules, manage scope, and control costs.
• Support internal project financials, staffing, and risk management.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination and schedule attainment.
• Establish project policies, procedures, and QA/QC.
• Report progress, cost, and schedule metrics to leadership.
