Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Falls Church, VA to lead estimating services from concept through bidding. You will manage budgets, feasibility studies and value engineering, presenting results to clients and internal stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5–7 years of experience, including 2 years in estimating. Office-based work with occasional site visits and a strong commitment to safety and project quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field.
• 5–7 years of related work experience, with 2+ years in estimating.
• Read drawings and specifications, identify missing elements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze technical information.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, subcontractors and operations during design-assist.
• Provide oversight to junior estimators and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete suite of estimating services with minimal oversight.
• Estimate a variety of building types and manage multiple projects.
• Present technical and financial information to stakeholders.
• Visit jobsites as necessary; work primarily in an office environment.
