Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in California to lead all preconstruction phase estimating activities from initial program concepts through construction documents pricing.

You will coordinate feasibility studies, budgets, value engineering, and present analyses to clients and internal teams. The role requires 5–7 years in related work with at least 2 years in estimating, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, required.
• Five to seven years of related work experience, with two of those years in estimating required.
• Strong ability to read drawings and specifications and identify missing elements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders throughout the design-assist process.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete estimating services for preconstruction from concept to bid.
• Estimate a variety of building types and manage multiple project deadlines.
• Present technical and financial information to stakeholders.
• Visit jobsites as necessary and adhere to safety policies.
• Oversee Assistant Preconstruction Manager/Assistant Estimator.
