Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Portland, ME to lead a cross‑functional estimating team across exterior envelope, civil and structural elements.

You will own preconstruction deliverables, coordinate with operations, and guide client engagements from concept through bid readiness. The role requires 5–10 years in estimating or engineering within construction, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of estimating, controls and/or engineering experience.
• Proven successful client relationships in the construction industry.

Aufgaben

• Develop estimates for projects of all size and complexity for exterior envelope, civil and structural elements at concept and detailed levels of design.
• Develop and review/comment on project purchasing plans and bid packages.
• Assist operations leaders with input for project schedules.
• Coordinate and manage a team of estimators with defined deliverables.
• Present and support our work to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Lead the preconstruction deliverables from start to finish for assigned projects.
• Oversee the preconstruction team including subcontractors, estimators, PMs, A/E and consultants.
• Navigate and utilize BIM models to support project execution.
