Job summary

The role requires a B.S. in construction management or engineering, 2–4 years of experience, and strong skills in MC2, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office. You will collaborate with designers, suppliers, and project teams to deliver accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent; 2–4 years of preconstruction/estimating and/or operations experience on commercial projects.
• Knowledgeable in civil/site construction, foundations, structural systems, finishes, and building envelope elements.
• Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and email.
• Organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
• Demonstrates integrity and commitment to client service and company values.
• Proficient with estimating software (MC2, On-Screen Takeoff, Paydirt, Constructware, iSqFt) and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity takeoffs for schematic, design development and construction documents.
• Solicits and analyzes subcontractor and vendor pricing input.
• Develops unit costs and prepares accurate estimates.
• Reviews plans and specs with architects/engineers as needed.
• Participates in pre-bid meetings and site tours.
• Builds effective relationships with customers, design teams and suppliers.
