Job summary

Reeves Young is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Preconstruction Estimator to join our team in Sugar Hill, GA. You will support the preconstruction group with quantity takeoffs, plan checks, and bid coordination for diverse projects.

You will collaborate with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring accurate documents and competitive pricing while maintaining tight project timelines and clear communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Preconstruction software and takeoffs.
• Ability to work under pressure and hit targets.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and plan checks.

Responsibilities

• Quantity surveying and basic tasks to assist the preconstruction team.
• Check plans and specifications for accuracy and receipt.
• Maintain vendor/subcontractor bid lists and contacts.
• Communicate with subcontractors during bidding and review scope and pricing.

What Can You Expect:

• Quantity surveying and other associated basic assigned tasks to assist in producing project estimates and support the preconstruction team.
• Check Plans and Specifications to ensure all documents are correct and received.
• Maintains preferred vendor and subcontractor bid list and ensures accuracy of contacts listed.
• Communicate "persistently" with subcontractors during bidding process to gauge bidding interest as well as following up to
  review project scope and pricing.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Must possess working knowledge of or demonstrate willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: All Preconstruction Sotfware that may inlcude: Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, Sketchup, Revit, Building Connected, On-screen Take Off, Agtek, Procore, Viewpoint Field Work Center, HCSS, and Destini.
• Ability to work under constant pressure and perform well in order to complete the required targets.
• Perform quantity takeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills and time management practices
