Job summary

Tract is seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Engineer to support nationwide data center developments from feasibility through construction handoff. The role emphasizes due diligence, design coordination, budgeting, and procurement for large-scale civil infrastructure and land development projects.

The candidate should have 2+ years in preconstruction or related fields, experience with cost analysis, and proficiency with eBuilder/Bluebeam/Autodesk. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in preconstruction, design management, or development.
• 2+ years of experience on large commercial, industrial, civil infrastructure, or land development projects.
• Experience with proposals, bidding, scope leveling, cost analysis, and coordinating consultants/trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence and early-stage project planning, including feasibility, constraints, utilities, permitting, and risk.
• Coordinate design development: site layout, grading, road design, stormwater, and utilities.
• Develop budgets, takeoffs, estimates, and cost models for underwriting decisions.
