McGough Construction CO, LLC seeks a Director of Preconstruction to lead Central Minnesota preconstruction and estimating, aligning with enterprise processes. You will partner with Project Executives to shape pursuits, guide projects from concept to GMP, and drive consistent deliverables.

The role requires a Bachelor's/Master's in a related field and 15+ years in project leadership, with strong skills in cost planning, risk management, and team development. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
15+ years in general contracting, preconstruction, estimating, or project management on large, complex projects.
Experience leading negotiated, CM at Risk, or design-build preconstruction from concept through GMP.

Responsibilities

Lead pursuit strategy and shape preconstruction approach with Project Executives and GM.
Manage and staff the preconstruction team; guide risk, budgets, and scope.
Oversee estimates from concept through GMP, including cost models and contingencies.
Develop and mentor team; ensure accountability, performance, and workload balance.
Improve workflows, templates, reviews, and turnover with McGough standards.
