MCL Construction in Omaha is seeking a Director of Preconstruction who can lead complex ground-up and renovation projects from concept through GMP. You will own the numbers, defend budgets, and build cost models that win work while mentoring a high-performing team.

This role requires 10+ years in preconstruction or estimating, a track record with GMP/CMAR delivery, and proficiency with Timberline or On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive management experience in preconstruction or estimating.
• Experience leading ground-up and renovation projects from concept through construction documents.
• Familiar with GMP/CMAR delivery methods and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the numbers and own a deep project pipeline from concept to groundbreaking.
• Direct conceptual to lump-sum estimates and defend each line item.
• Build cost models and stay ahead of market trends to win work.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing preconstruction team.
• Guide owners, architects, and teams through development phases and present data-driven decisions.
