Job summary

Paylocity in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Construction Administrator/Project Manager to support preconstruction for public and educational facility projects.

You will manage scope, review design deliverables, coordinate disciplines, and drive constructability reviews, with emphasis on RFIs, change orders, and value engineering; 15+ years required; strong MS Word/Excel/Bluebeam skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of full-time professional paid experience with an Architecture degree.
• 10 years as Construction Administrator.
• 5 years as Designer.
• Experience on public/educational facility projects with $8M+ single project or $80M+ total.
• Alternatively, 15 years as Project Superintendent or Project Manager on qualifying projects with $30M+ single project and $400M+ total.
• Two years of college coursework plus five years experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
• RFC writing, reviewing submittals and change orders.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assists in defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule including interim housing requirements
• Makes value engineering recommendations at the outset of the design
• Comments on the design professional’s deliverable identifying inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors and omissions in the progress plans to reduce RFIs and Change Orders
• Ensure documents are coordinated between design disciplines.
• Prepares comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents
• Coordinates the above efforts with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative in a collaborative way
• Performs other duties as assigned
