Job summary

KCG Companies, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support budget development, estimating, and early project planning for diverse residential and commercial builds.

You will collaborate with project teams, manage scheduling milestones, and help control costs to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, experience with on-site construction, and proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and Procore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in residential wood frame on-site construction project management.
• Familiarity with preconstruction management and improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, MS Project, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Assist Preconstruction team with budgeting and estimating for multiple projects.
• Support scheduling, subcontract negotiations, and preconstruction planning.
• Develop accurate cost estimates and transparent budgets across project stages.
• Maintain project lifecycle documentation and ensure adherence to standards.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for bid coverage.
• Collaborate with project managers to execute preconstruction tasks and reporting.
• Assist in value engineering and constructability reviews to save costs.
• Identify and mitigate risks to support profitable delivery.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership and project ownership groups.
