Job summary

Green Life Science on the West Coast seeks a PhD-level Scientist for Preclinical Mouse Models and Client Solutions to bridge science and business development. The role involves direct client interactions, study design discussions, and translation of scientific capabilities into strategic partnerships.

You will engage with academia and biotech teams, traveling regionally up to 25% to advance client relationships and project opportunities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, or another relevant biomedical/life science discipline.
• Hands on experience working with in vivo mouse models in a research setting.
• Strong scientific understanding of preclinical research and translational biology.
• Passion and motivation to move into a client facing/business development career path.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex science clearly.
• Commercial curiosity and business acumen.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Currently based in the US without the need for sponsorship (OPT STEM acceptable)
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Act as a scientific partner to academic and biotech clients, supporting discussions around preclinical study design and mouse model solutions.
• Engage with researchers and scientific teams to understand scientific objectives and propose appropriate in vivo strategies.
• Support business development activities through scientific presentations, client meetings, conference attendance, and relationship building.
• Collaborate closely with internal scientific teams to align client needs with available capabilities and study approaches.
• Build long-term relationships with clients across academia, biotech, and pharma.
• Travel locally (~25%) for client meetings, conferences, and scientific networking events.
