Job summary

Vermillion, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Wire Harness Assembly Technician to build cable assemblies end-to-end on the production floor.

You’ll lay out components, solder, strip/crimp jacketed wire, insert into contacts, and prepare the cable for sealing with attention to detail and precision. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic hand tools experience, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use measuring tools to measure lengths accurately, within 1/32 inch.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and safe handling.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle assembly of cables including layout, soldering, striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts, tightening connector assemblies, torquing, taping, banding, and using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment.
• Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and operation of test equipment.
• Maintain a pristine and organized workbench.
• Other duties as assigned
