Job summary

Smiths Interconnect, a Molex company, is seeking Cable Assembly Technicians for our Kansas City location. You will interpret engineering prints and perform wiring, soldering, and cable harnessing on prototype and production units.

The role requires reading drawings, fine motor skills, and 3+ years of soldering/cable termination experience, with IPC J and A or IPC-610 certifications preferred. Work includes using microscopes and precision measuring tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Soldering and cable termination experience with small parts.
• Proficient with measuring tools and microscopes for quality control.
• IPC J and A certifications or IPC‑610 training required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and terminate cables and components per process plans.
• Solder, test, and set up production machines for prototyping units.
• Adhere to tolerances and quality system requirements.
• Maintain schedules and communicate maintenance needs.
