Job summary

GPD Optoelectronics Corp. in Salem, NH is seeking an Assembly Technician focused on wire bonding to support production. You will perform wire bonding, inspection, basic electrical testing, and packaging of optoelectronic assemblies, working with engineering and quality to meet requirements.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role reporting to Operations. Ideal candidates bring wire bonding experience, microscope use, and strict adherence to ESD and cleanroom protocols to help ensure high-quality

Qualifications

Experience in microelectronics or optoelectronic assembly preferred.
Ability to work under a microscope and handle small components.
Familiarity with ESD controls, cleanroom practices, and regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
This role may require lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and semi-automated wire bonding of chips to ceramic substrates and packages.
Prep material, set up, and operate wire bond equipment per instructions.
Handle optoelectronic devices using proper ESD and cleanroom techniques.
Support engineering builds, process development, and continuous improvement activities.
Package finished assemblies per work instructions and maintain traceability.
Maintain production records, travelers, and inspection results using ERP.
