Job summary

ABB Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a BWS Operator to support the unit in achieving production targets by following established processes.

You will operate winding machines, read technical diagrams, and ensure consistent product quality on the shop floor. This onsite role requires the ability to load materials, set parameters, monitor performance, perform routine upkeep, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ year of manufacturing experience, military service, or relevant vocational/technical training (motor experience preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to work any assigned shift.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality focus; able to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks; lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs; operate machinery for extended periods; wear required PPE.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Configure and run winding machines (set parameters, load materials, adjust CNC settings) to meet production specs.
• Track machine performance, identify issues, and inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality standards.
• Perform routine upkeep, replace worn components, and resolve common machine issues while escalating complex problems.
• Follow safety procedures, record production data, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams.
