Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Welder for our South Beloit, IL location. You will inspect, repair and weld spirally welded cylinders to meet specification requirements, adhering to safety rules and industry standards. The role includes staying organized, reporting measurements accurately, and performing routine equipment maintenance.

Experience with flux-core welding, SMAW, and SAW is a plus. The position offers full-time hours with competitive hourly pay and benefits as described in the

Qualifications

• Must have welding experience.
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect interior and exterior of spirally welded cylinders and perform repairs.
• Report repairs and dimensional measurements accurately to the nearest 1/32 inch.
• Utilize flux-core welding process, cutting torch, grinders and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Must have welding experience.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Inspect interior and exterior of spirally welded cylinders and perform repairs per specifications.
• Report repairs and dimensional measurements to the nearest 32nd inch.
• Use oxyacetylene torch to square cylinder ends and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to welding equipment and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and comply with safety standards.
