Katalyst Systems Impact in Davenport, IA is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator for a busy job-shop environment. You will take projects from design to finished product, reading complex blueprints and welding components using MIG and TIG processes on aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• Experience as Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing, job shop, or structural environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and weld symbols.
• Skilled in MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, carbon steel, stainless.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering blueprints, structural schematics, and weld symbols to plan fabrication sequences.
• Weld and fabricate assemblies using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) techniques in all positions.
• Layout, cut, fit, and weld components using plasma cutters, band saws, shears, and grinders.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for defects, warpage, or defects, ensuring finished products meet standards.
• Coordinate with team to meet production deadlines and maintain safety.
• Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to new shop challenges.
