Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for the Newark, OH area. This first shift, contract-to-hire role focuses on precision welding and metal fabrication in a compact shop environment.

You will read detailed drawings, fabricate metal components, and maintain high safety and quality standards while using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. The position is onsite with competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG/TIG and stick welding.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and fabrication shop drawings.
• Comfort working in a small job shop environment.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG, TIG (including stainless and aluminum), and stick/arc welding to produce high-quality welds.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using plasma cutters and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to plan work.
• Measure dimensions and ensure precise cuts and fits.
• Fit and assemble fabricated parts to meet tolerances and design requirements.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for accuracy and structural integrity.
