Qualifications

• 4-5 years welding experience or equivalent advanced schooling.
• Strong blueprint reading including welding symbols and GD&T.
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/16".
• Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ownership of standard personal hand tools.
• Understanding of weld inspection and quality control methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe welding and fitting using GTAW (Tig), GMAW (Mig), and Subarc on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Read blueprints and drawings; take measurements to plan layouts and fabrication procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specs; cut material with powered saws.
• Operate grinders to prepare parts; align components with precision tools.
• Weld components in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws; maintain equipment in safe condition.
