Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, IN is seeking an experienced Welder for our Tool and Die Division. You will join a team fabricating and repairing metal components using spot-welding, TIG/MIG, and torch methods to meet exact specs and drawings.

This hands-on role requires basic welding knowledge and the ability to read CAD drawings. You will stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in preventive maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment with overtime

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings with accuracy.
• Welding process skills: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and brazing/soldering.
• Basic mathematics and measurement proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld, fabricate, and repair parts per customer drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints, use measuring equipment accurately, and grind parts to spec.
• Operate welders, drills, saws, and power tools per job requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment and keep area clean.
• Maintain safety and efficiency in a climate-controlled shop environment.
