The role involves setting up and operating a range of hand and power welding tools to join, repair, and fabricate metal components, in compliance with our health, safety, and environmental standards. You will weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and operate processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, SMAW, resistance, and SAW.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
• Previous experience in the welding field preferred.
• Ability to decipher technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models required.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, SMAW, and related processes.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to avoid overheating, warping, distortion, or expansion.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
