This role involves setting up and operating a variety of welding tools to join and repair metal components while complying with health, safety, and environmental standards. The Welder Fabricator will weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using several processes and will monitor for quality, fit, and distortion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Previous welding experience preferred.
• Ability to decipher technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to avoid overheating, warping, distortion or expansion.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.
