You will operate hand and power welding tools to join, repair, and fabricate metal components, while following company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Responsibilities include welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW, plus inspecting work and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
• Previous experience in the welding field preferred.
• Ability to decipher technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models required.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, plasma arc, SMAW, resistance welding, and SAW.
• Monitor the welding process to avoid overheating, warping, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
