Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, defense or aerospace preferred.
• Visual weld inspection experience; CWI not required but beneficial.
• Experience inspecting powder-coated or painted parts for quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, and finished goods inspections per drawings and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct heavy visual inspection of fabrications to verify weld presence and workmanship.
• Inspect welds for cracks, porosity, undercut and other defects per standards.
• Inspect surface finish and coatings for coverage and adhesion per specs.
• Record inspection results and maintain objective evidence for audits.
• Identify nonconformances and initiate NCRs; support CAPA and corrective actions.
• Communicate findings to production, quality and engineering to drive improvements.
• Assist with first article inspections and source inspections as needed.
