Job summary

American Rheinmetall seeks a Quality Inspector to assess products at various production stages, documenting results and ensuring adherence to MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards. The role requires blueprint interpretation and precise measurement using CMM, calipers, and micrometers.

You will support Gage R&R, SPC, and CAPA activities while collaborating with engineering, production, and program teams in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality assurance methods and defense/aerospace standards (MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Ability to read and apply technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision inspection tools and equipment.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and their impact on quality.
• Experience documenting inspection results in QMS/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with RCA/CAPA and SPC experience.
• Effective communication to collaborate with engineering, production, and program management.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of DoD regulations and ITAR/EAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and measurements and record results per quality requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections of painted parts across conversion lines per specs.
• Test products at key stages (temperature, paint thickness, adhesion, pH) and evaluate samples.
• Verify paperwork and certifications are present and maintained at workstations.
• Interpret blueprints and tolerances for machined components.
• Use precision tools to complete dimensional reports and ensure conformance.
• Initiate containment when discrepancies are identified.
• Review data collection requirements based on drawings and PPAP standards.
• Participate in Gage R&R and other measurement system analyses.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
