Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a dependable Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist to manage movement of materials and maintain accurate inventory across the facility. You will handle shipping, receiving, and staging for production, and enter data into the ERP to keep records up to date.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift and move materials, and forklift experience is preferred. You will work with purchasing, production, quality, and shipping to ensure materials flow smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or material handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/ERP systems.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, shipping documents, and material identification labels.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and document incoming materials and shipments.
• Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing products and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
• Identify, locate, and store materials in designated locations.
• Stage materials for production or other departments.
• Enter and update inventory, receiving, and shipping data in the ERP.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
