Job summary

Sysco in Fremont, CA is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately select products from shelves, assemble orders, and prepare shipments in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 – 1 year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift products weighing 10 lb - 75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating equipment.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Stand for 10–12 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to move to correct slot location and transport to dock area for staging.
• Handle products with care.
• Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist in cleaning and sign off on daily cleaning area as assigned by supervisor.
• Sign in and out for all equipment used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
• Adhere to GMP and SQF policies as described in Sysco training manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
