Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking a repair technician to disassemble, rebuild and test vacuum pumps to the manufacturer’s specifications. You will document test results, manage paperwork, and prepare pumps for shipping while maintaining a safe, organized workshop.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year in a mechanic-related role, with proficiency in hand and power tools and forklift operation. Compensation is $29–$33 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year in a mechanic or related role required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and/or other heavy equipment if necessary.
• Proven history of working with hand tools and measuring devices.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious with good documentation skills.
• Experience in the vacuum industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, decontaminate, clean, and inspect vacuum pumps for repair.
• Use hand tools, power tools, sand blaster and pressure washer safely.
• Take photos of pumps at different stages and upload to digital platforms.
• Read OEM manuals and engineering drawings to guide work.
• Measure parts and verify conformance to design specs.
• Determine whether parts can be repaired or replaced.
• Repair/rebuild pumps per manufacturer specs and test for QC.
• Record test results on work orders and paperwork accurately.
• Prepare pumps for shipping, palletize, and attach documentation.
• Operate forklift and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
