Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is hiring an Assembly & Test Technician to support electronics, pump module assembly, system assembly & test, and final assembly. You will build and assemble modules, cables and dry pumps using engineered drawings and documented requirements, meeting build standards and maintaining throughput.

You will report to the Assembly & Test Technician Leader. This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent / associated experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical component construction and assembly and test.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings/diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps per daily production plan.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follow assembly and test instructions to meet quality outputs.
• Support training and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain good relationships with colleagues and supporting departments.
• Communicate when there are errors or difficulties in build.
• Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet standards.
