Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking team members for the 1st shift in Newbern, TN. You will learn to maintain sharp tools and operate powered equipment to perform precise cutting tasks on the production line.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in cold environments. Employees must abide by safety, food safety, and company policies, and may undergo background checks and task-specific training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must work in temperatures at or below 35°F.
• Background checks may be required to employment.
• Ability to complete work cycles in limited time.

Responsibilities

• Learn to maintain sharp tools for task accuracy.
• Make precision cuts to carcass and separate meat from bone.
• Operate a powered tool to perform job tasks.
• Set up area with all needed equipment.
• Clean up area at end of production shift, including sweeping and debris removal.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Superintendent.
