Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a production/operator role on the 2nd shift in Newbern, TN. You will operate machinery to keep the production line running and ensure proper ingredients and supplies are on the line.

Responsibilities include adjusting settings, reporting maintenance needs, handling slicing tasks, and maintaining safety and food safety policies. Candidates should be able to lift up to 49 pounds and work in temperatures around 35°F.

Qualifications

• 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months; relevant machine operator experience preferred.
• No rehires accepted at this location.
• Background checks may be required for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to ensure continuous product flow along the production line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings; report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Set up work area with needed equipment and materials.
• Slice meat and ensure proper safety and food safety practices.
• Maintain clean work area; remove trash and debris from floor.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
