Job summary

Central Moloney is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Transformers AR facility. You will inspect materials and finished products, perform electrical and mechanical tests, and document results to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, this first-shift, safety-sensitive role requires good measurement skills, the ability to read specifications and drawings, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical testing experience is a plus.
• Display good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for repetitive tasks.
• Possess strong mathematical & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using basic measuring tools (calipers, rulers, tape measures, gauges).
• Experience with quality control tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and quality control skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and dust.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Perform various testing procedures on transformers, including electrical and mechanical tests, to validate functionality and performance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results and testing procedures.
• Use precision measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, to verify that components meet specified dimensional requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Investigate and analyze product defects or non-conformities, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to communicate quality standards and address any issues or concerns.
• Strictly adhering to safety guidelines and procedures, promoting a secure working environment.
• Undertake additional quality-related duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment to excellence.
