Job summary

Mesta Electronics, Inc. is seeking a QA/Production Tester to perform routine and specialized QA testing and first-off inspections, ensuring products meet customer specs.

You will guide production leads to correct issues and apply troubleshooting to resolve manufacturing problems, including electrical tests on transformers and related products. The role requires reading mechanical and electrical drawings, applying ISO standards, and documenting results in company systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with production QA testing and first-off inspections.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialty production and QA testing as required by SPI’s or requested by customer specifications.
• Provide guidance and direction to production team leads or workers to ensure proper action is taken to correct production error.
• Understand and apply necessary troubleshooting skills to assist production in repairing any manufacturing technical issues and inconsistencies that arise from production and QA tests.
• Perform electrical and quality tests on transformers and other products.
• Verify test results meet specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct first-piece ("first-off") inspections when production starts.
• Use testing equipment to measure electrical performance.
• Document test results and quality findings in company systems.
• Identify defects or issues and communicate them to production teams.
• Help troubleshoot manufacturing issues when products fail testing.
• Work closely with production employees, team leads, supervisors, and quality personnel.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives throughout the plant.
• Report any other production quality issues or quality information directly to team leads, production supervisor and quality supervisor.
• Assist in review of facility SPIs and internal reference documents
• Assist in performing internal audits of plant processes to ensure conformance to current ISO standards
• Attend quality meetings and participate in any quality related training deemed necessary by the quality supervisor
• Assist QA/Testing supervisor with any other data collection deemed necessary to support the HPS QMS program
