Positronic Industries, Inc. is seeking a PTM Operator to set up and operate precision transfer machines, ensuring high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changeovers, tool selection, and in-process inspection. First shift hours are Monday to Friday, with safety and regulatory compliance emphasized on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Physical: Standing, walking, sitting; bending, twisting, reaching; lifting 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Shift: First shift (Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete changeovers for machines to transition to new parts.
• Study blueprints and layout sheets to determine machining, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Visualizes movement of machine parts and decides on station and timing to optimize tool and time usage.
• Selects cutting speeds, feeds, depth of cuts and tools based on experience, material properties, and layout references.
• Installs part loaders, collets, and bushings.
• Mounts cutting tools in spindles and verifies their position using gauges.
• Operate machines through cycles, adjust tool positions and controls for timing and clearance.
• Starts, observes, and certifies first run and sample parts to specifications using measuring instruments.
• Replaces worn tools and ensures machines produce quality parts efficiently.
• Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
