Job summary

Positronic in Missouri is seeking a PTM Operator to set up and operate precision transfer machines, producing high quality parts. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform changeovers, study drawings, select tools, install loaders, measure parts, and help maintain safety and quality standards, including AS9100.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete machine changeovers to transition to new parts.
• Study blueprints and layout sheets to determine machining operations and tolerances.
• Select cutting speeds, feeds, depth of cuts and tools based on material properties and shop math.
• Install loaders, collets, and bushings; verify tool positions using gauges.
• Operate machines, adjust positions, and ensure efficient tool use and timing.
• Ensure first run and sample pieces meet specifications using measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with EHS and QA to meet regulatory standards (AS9100, OSHA).
