Job summary

Humphrey Products Company in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a Toolroom Machinist to support the tool room with blueprints, lathe, mill and grinder operations. The initial training schedule runs Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, shifting to a Tue-Fri 6:00 am to 4:00 pm routine.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, defining process steps, selecting cutting tools, and verifying work with appropriate gauges. CNC lathe/mill experience is valued; CNC programming is a major plus.

Qualifications

Reading blueprints and creating parts defined from raw material.
Define the process steps required to complete products with minimal input from others.
Setup and operate toolroom equipment such as manual lathes, mills and grinders.
Select appropriate cutting tools and speeds/feeds based on materials.
Determine and apply measuring equipment and gauges to verify work.
Self-motivated with solid decision making and problem solving skills.
CNC lathe and mill experience; CNC programming is a major plus.
Willing to work in a team-oriented environment.
