Job summary

Humphrey Products, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components, seeks a CNC Programmer/Machinist for the Machining Department 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:30 pm–1:30 am). The role requires setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality parts.

Special attention given to experience in cutting tools, speed/data, GD&T, and leadership. The position offers a four 10-hour day schedule with pay rate based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate multi-axis CNC equipment and set up machines.
• Read blueprints, use basic machining gages, and understand standard machining terminology.
• Extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed/feeds, process control, GD&T and leadership experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and operate multi-axis CNC equipment to produce quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

CNC Programmer/Machinist

Humphrey Products Company, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components used in industries such as medical, instrumentation, distribution, agriculture and transportation has openings in the Machining Department’s 2nd shift which consists of four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am).

Set-up and Operation/Milling Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to operate multi-axis CNC equipment, read blueprints, use basic machining gages, and understand standard machining terminology and principles.
• Must be able to set up machines and work with a defined process to produce quality products.
• Must be able to demonstrate good judgement in decision making and problem solving.
• Special consideration will be given to applicants for: extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed and feed selection, process control techniques, GD&T and leadership experience.
• Five 5+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent attendance, good behavior and performance.

Rating:

• The pay rate will be set upon candidates’ experience level.
• Four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am).

• Production Supervisor
