Job summary

Humphrey Products Company in Kalamazoo is seeking skilled machinists for the 2nd shift. The role requires operating multi-axis CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and setting up machines to produce quality parts. You will solve problems, follow defined processes, and report to the Production Supervisor.

Five+ years in manufacturing are preferred, with strong attendance and reliability. The work schedule is four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 1:30 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating multi-axis CNC equipment and reading blueprints.
• Ability to set up machines and work with defined processes to produce quality products.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and sound judgment in manufacturing settings.
• Extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed/ feed selection, and GD&T is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multi-axis CNC equipment to produce parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and use precision gauges.
• Work within defined processes to ensure quality and on-time output.
• Report to the Production Supervisor and maintain good attendance and performance.

Humphrey Products Company, a Kalamazoo-based manufacturer of pneumatic valves and control components used in industries such as medical, instrumentation, distribution, agriculture and transportation has openings in the Machining Department’s 2nd shift which consists of four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am).

Set-up And Operation/Milling Qualifications

• Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to operate multi-axis CNC equipment, read blueprints, use basic machining gages, and understand standard machining terminology and principles.
• Must be able to set up machines and work with a defined process to produce quality products.
• Must be able to demonstrate good judgement in decision making and problem solving.
• Special consideration will be given to applicants for: extensive knowledge of cutting tool technology, speed and feed selection, process control techniques, GD&T and leadership experience.
• Five 5+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent attendance, good behavior and performance.

Rating

• The pay rate will be set upon candidates’ experience level.
• Four 10-hour days (M-Th/3:30 pm to 1:30 am).
