Job summary

Envases Commerce, LLC is seeking a Precision Tooling Machinist for our Waco, TX facility handling aluminum end tooling for high-speed production. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and modification of dies, punches, and related tooling to meet tight tolerances in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

The candidate will operate surface grinders, lathes, milling machines, and polishing equipment while reading complex drawings and using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient in operating manual Tool Room machinery: surface grinders, lathes, milling machines, and specialized lapping/polishing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Must obtain forklift operator certification.
• Willingness to work across all shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of precision tooling components (dies, punches, cut-edge tooling).
• Use tool room equipment and machines to maintain tooling dimensions within tight tolerances.
• Inspect repaired tooling with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other instruments.
• Read blueprints and ensure conformance to design specifications.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance to diagnose tooling failures and perform repairs.
• Follow 5S and safety procedures and maintain clean, safe tooling areas.
