Job summary

Aludec-USA in Staples, MN is seeking a skilled Tooling Machinist to build, modify, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and precision components to support production. The role requires interpreting drawings, GD&T, and working with manual and CNC machines.

You will collaborate with engineering and maintenance, ensure quality and safety, and maintain tooling documentation. A 2-year degree or CNC certification is required; experience with mills, lathes, and precision measuring tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or CNC certification required.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with manual and CNC milling/lathes.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools.
• Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures, dies.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and workholding devices.
• Perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
• Maintain tooling documentation and ensure quality requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
