Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Staples, MN is seeking a skilled Tooling Machinist to build, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, fixtures and precision components for production operations.

The ideal candidate has strong machining skills, reads drawings with GD&T, and can work independently in a safe, organized environment. CNChiCAD/CAM experience and preventive maintenance responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or CNC Certification Program required.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders.
• Strong measurement skills using micrometers and gauges.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC mills, lathes and grinders.
• Manufacture, modify, repair tooling, fixtures and dies.
• Read blueprints and CAD models to specifications.
• Select cutting tools and workholding devices.
• Measure with micrometers, calipers and indicators.
• Troubleshoot tooling and production issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and production.
• Maintain tooling documentation and quality compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
