Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Repair and Tool Technician to evaluate and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment across our stores and repair centers. Technicians will assist Tool Rental customers, write contracts and invoices, and ensure repairs meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining tool inventories, performing tests, and communicating maintenance needs to staff. This role requires hands-on knowledge of tools and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
• Make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
• Provide service to store customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs.
• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, repair, test, and clean units before returning to the originating store.
• Must have thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools.
