Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking Repair and Tool Technicians to evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. Technicians will work in our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers, providing service to store customers and handling invoices for rentals and repairs.

They must maintain the tool inventory, ensure tools operate correctly, and demonstrate proper use when needed.

Qualifications

• Evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
• Thorough knowledge of all tools and ability to effectively manage the tool inventory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
• Provide service to store customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs.
• Maintain day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, and cleaned before returning to the originating store.
• Manage tool inventory by maintaining tools and repairing them as necessary.
