Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is seeking a 1st shift Tool Maker to support the Molding Department by repairing and fabricating tool components and ensuring reliable operation of molds and machines.

You will read blueprints, perform welding for mold repairs, and safely handle rigging and machine tools while upholding 6S and safety standards. Strong teamwork and basic MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Excellent ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; write reports.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Strong reasoning and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Molding Department by repairing and maintaining tools and fabricating components for tools and machines.
• Operate machine tools to fabricate and repair components.
• Perform welding applications for mold repairs.
• Disassemble injection molds to replace high-wear components when necessary.
• Safely rig injection molds for transport using cranes, forklifts, and die carts.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, basic to advanced.
• Adhere to safety, environmental policies, PPE usage, and 6S standards.
• Immediately report environmental concerns or incidents posing hazards to management.
• Start up and shut down robots and cranes per guidelines.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Possess working knowledge of data entry and MS Office tools.
