Qualifications

• Ability to complete Job Skill Training Matrix for a Tool & Die Technician
• Strong human relations skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills)
• Knowledge of tooling equipment and operations including lathes, presses, grinders, reamers, saws, mills and EDM equipment
• Knowledge of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, gage pins, bore gauges and indicators

Responsibilities

• Operate all tool room equipment with no supervision to meet quality and productivity requirements
• Read manufacturing and tooling prints and prepare tools to meet tolerances
• Utilize tool room gaging equipment
• Perform mathematical calculations for tool dimensions and tolerances
• Familiar with M1 system software
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow safety guidelines
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed
• Train less experienced employees
• Perform cycle counts and assist annual inventory
