Job summary

Band-It is seeking a General Assembler to pick, kit, and pre‑assemble components for tool production, following BOMs and work instructions. This role ensures accurate part selection and proper documentation to feed final assembly operations.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. You will report to the Production Supervisor and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read specs.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse picking or kitting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all EH&S policies and procedures.
• Pick and kit components accurately using RFSmart or other inventory systems.
• Read and understand work orders, Lot Control documentation, and Bills of Material.
• Perform pre‑assembly of mechanical components following Standard Work and Work Instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools to verify part quality and kit completeness.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning, issuing, and material movement transactions.
• Support production by preparing kits that meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, or discrepancies through the escalation chain or RCCM process.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5S principles.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide feedback on process enhancements.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
