Job summary

IDEX is seeking a General Assembler to pick, kit and pre-assemble components for BAND-IT tool production. You will follow BOMs and work instructions, ensuring accurate part selection and proper documentation.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience in manufacturing or warehousing. You will support production flow, maintain 5S standards, and participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications, drawings, BOMs, and written instructions in English.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse picking, or kitting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all EH&S policies and procedures.
• Pick and kit components accurately using RFSmart or other inventory systems.
• Read and understand work orders, Lot Control documentation, and Bills of Material.
• Perform pre-assembly of mechanical components following Standard Work and Work Instructions.
• Use basic inspection tools to verify part quality and kit completeness.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning, issuing, and material movement transactions.
• Support production by preparing kits that meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, or discrepancies through the escalation chain or RCCM process.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5S principles.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide feedback on process enhancements.
